Remote Work in the Heart of Mexico City: A Grateful Journey Before The Holidays
As Christmas approaches, I'm preparing for a few weeks in Mexico City. The holiday season is already hectic, and as a business owner, there are more tasks on my plate. This is how I prepared for working and vacating in Mexico City before the holidays.
Planning Outings in the Midst of Urban Magic:
One of the perks of working from Mexico City is the rich tapestry of culture and history right at my doorstep. Planning outings ahead of time has been a game-changer. Whether it's exploring historic neighborhoods, trying local cuisines, or finding inspiration in the city's art scene, these outings fuel my creativity and keep the work-life balance in check.
Flexibility at its Finest - Changing Meeting Times:
Working across time zones can be a puzzle, but my awesome business partner deserves a shoutout. They've been incredibly flexible, adjusting meeting times to accommodate the Central Standard Time here. Also, it is just polite to let your work know when you will not be available. For example, I am flying on a day we usually meet, so we just moved the meeting so we can still get work done.
Strategic Content Planning Ahead of Christmas:
The holiday season is upon us, and planning content ahead of time has been a game-changer. From pre-scheduling social media posts to drafting articles (this article was actually written before Thanksgiving), staying ahead of the game allows me to fully embrace the holiday spirit without feeling the pressure of impending deadlines.
Working from Mexico City has been a chapter of gratitude and growth. As Thanksgiving approaches, I'm thankful for the flexibility that remote work offers and the support of an incredible team. Cheers to a season of gratitude, exploration, and the beauty of combining work with the magic of Mexico City. 🌇
